The President of the Court of Cassation receives an Emirati delegation headed by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah

Judge Asim Al-Ghaish, President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, received today at his office in the Court of Cassation a judicial delegation from the sisterly United Arab Emirates, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, and his accompanying delegation.

His Highness was accompanied by a high-level judicial delegation that included Judge Dr. Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of the Judicial Department in the Emirate of Sharjah; Counselor Dr. Mansour bin Nassar, Head of the Legal Department in the Emirate of Sharjah; Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla, President of the Court of Cassation in the Emirate of Sharjah; Counselor Anwar Amin Al Ramoudi, Attorney General and Head of the Public Prosecution Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah; Judge Dr. Salama Salem Al Kutbi, Head of the Judicial Inspection Department in the Emirate of Sharjah; Judge Abdul Rahman Sultan bin Tuleia, President of the Courts of Appeal in the Emirate of Sharjah; Judge Dr. Omar Obaid Al Ghoul, President of the Courts of First Instance in the Emirate of Sharjah; and Sheikh Faisal bin Ali Al Mualla, Secretary General of the Supreme Judicial Council in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Attorney General, Counselor Mohamed Shawky; Judge Abdel-Akher, also known as Fawaz Ibrahim, President of the Cairo Court of Appeal and member of the Supreme Judicial Council; Judge Mohamed Abdel-Aal, First Deputy President of the Court of Cassation and member of the Supreme Judicial Council; Judge Abed Rashed, Second Deputy President of the Court of Cassation and member of the Supreme Judicial Council; Judge Mohamed Helaly, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Head of the Technical Office of the Court of Cassation; Judge Moataz Mabrouk, Director of the Cassation Prosecution; Judge Samir Abdel-Moneim, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Director of Judicial Inspection for the Public Prosecution at the Court of Cassation; Judge Mohamed Hassan Abdel-Latif, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Head of the International Relations Department; Judge Ahmed Refaat, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council; Judge Khaled Farouk, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Advisor to the President of the Supreme Judicial Council for Relations and Media; and Judge Hossam El-Gizawy, Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council.

The visit began with Judge Assem El-Ghaish welcoming the judicial delegation to the Court of Cassation Library, a comprehensive legal center combining print and digital resources. It is considered one of the most important and prestigious legal libraries in Egypt and the Middle East, playing a vital role in supporting judicial and legal work. The welcoming ceremony commenced with a speech by Judge Dr. Mahmoud Naguib, Vice President of the Court of Cassation, followed by a video presentation on the history of the Egyptian Court of Cassation and a display of the library's collection of historical books.

Following this, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi delivered a speech expressing his pleasure at the visit and praising the role of the Egyptian Court of Cassation in upholding the principles of justice.

For his part, Judge Assem El-Ghaish delivered a speech expressing his gratitude for this gracious visit, welcoming the distinguished delegation to their country, Egypt, within the hallowed halls of the High Court. He reviewed the role of the Court of Cassation and its judges, and highlighted the digital advancements the Court has witnessed, beginning with the launch of its website to keep pace with modern demands. He also mentioned the digital archiving of judgments and records, creating a valuable resource for judges and facilitating the tracking of appeals for litigants.

On the occasion of the delegation's visit, he launched the Judicial Code of Conduct, intended to serve as a guiding light for judges. The Code outlines the rules governing judges' conduct and clarifies the foundations of their professional, social, and ethical behavior, emphasizing that ethics are the cornerstone of integrity in a judge's work.

He concluded his remarks by announcing the Court of Cassation's readiness to relocate to its new headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, within the first complex to house all judicial bodies and authorities – the City of Justice – which will be a beacon of light in the new republic, guaranteeing the protection of citizens' rights.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various legal and judicial fields, and the exchange of experiences between the two countries. The meeting concluded with the taking of commemorative photos and the exchange of commemorative shields between the two sides, confirming the depth of the historical relations between the two countries.
